To Do List.

"In addition to this presentation, you need to
write a “To Do” list for the forthcoming year.
What skills and processes do you want to try?
What would you like to improve upon? What
interests you as a graphic designer that you
want to learn? This is an opportunity to take
control of your future and put strategies in
place that will help you to establish and achieve
your goals – whatever they are."

  • I'm really interested in the handmade, turned digital. Books like Hand job: A Catalogue of type by Michael Perry make me want to experiment more with hand drawn type, making my own fonts, illustration.

  • I did a couple of projects over summer, one of which I had to create a poster for an event at Wharf Chambers in Leeds. This allowed me to hand draw things then scan them in and digitise the illustrations. It's a technique I'd like to experiment more with over the next year. I'd also like to become more competent on illustrator - learn to shade illustrations, do things quicker on it.
